Topics include hardware, software, databases, telecommunication systems, strategic use of information systems, the development of information systems, as well as social and ethical issues involved with information systems.

In this course the students will study principles of computer-based information systems analysis and design, as well personnel requirements, methods, tools, and techniques related to these systems. Development, requirements, definition, design of documentation, system development life cycle, prototyping, data modelling, and user involvement will also be covered.

This course focuses on setting-up computerized information systems specifically related to human resource management such as payroll, benefits, recruitment, selection, staffing, career development, training, development, and government compliance.
