This course studies the use of information technology to create competitive
firms, manage global organizations, and how to provide useful products and
services to customers. Topics include hardware, software, databases,
telecommunication systems, strategic use of information systems, the development
of information systems, as well as social and ethical issues involved with
information systems.

In this course the students will study principles of computer-based information
systems analysis and design, as well personnel requirements, methods, tools, and
techniques related to these systems. Development, requirements, definition,
design of documentation, system development life cycle, prototyping, data

This course studies pivotal information technologies that provide a basis for
electronic commerce and their application in a variety of business sectors. The
objective is to create awareness about the role of IT in business and to
introduce concepts and techniques related to e-commerce.

This course focuses on setting-up computerized information systems specifically
related to human resource management such as payroll, benefits, recruitment,
selection, staffing, career development, training, development, and government
compliance. Needs analysis, data element selection and definition, design and
acquisition of a system, evaluation, and system maintenance are also covered.
