An Associate Professor in public administration with specialization in emergency management at King Abdulaziz University since 2016. He served as a Program Manager for the Executive Master of Public Administration (2017 – 2022), Administrative and Legal Committee member at the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (2018 – present), Head of Event Management Department at the Faculty of Tourism (2019 – present), and Vice Dean for Development at the Faculty of tourism (2022 – 2023). Prior to joining academia, Dr. Taibah was a full-time consultant for the Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah for Planning and Development in (2014 – 2015) and had the opportunity in this position to contribute to different projects and programs. After that, he maintained his connections with the ministry as a part-time consultant for Hajj pilgrims’ satisfaction program and as a trainer for employees of Hajj and Umrah companies. Dr. Taibah has over ten years of field research experience and is well versed in qualitative and quantitative survey design and interview techniques, project management and publishing. His research focuses on risk communication, social vulnerability, crowd management, and sustainable development.
