Dr. Sarhan is an Assistant Professor of Information System (IS) strategy at MIS department, Faculty of Economics and Administration (FEA), King Abdul-Aziz University. His research interests extend to both IS and strategy fields with a specific focus on exploring the interrelationship between these two disciplines. In this vein, Dr. Sarhan is interested in day-to-day frustrations within typical organizations as practitioners seek to align business and IS strategies within them as part of their situated practices. Specific research themes include the focus on diverse aligning activities “praxis” of practitioners (e.g. IS executives, senior business executives and consultants) as they seek to digest changes in business needs, priorities and circumstances. Hence, this necessitates the reconfiguration, alteration or redistribution of resources to IS initiatives from time-to-time in order to continuously tone with actual business imperatives.
